Fellowship in Abdominal Organ Transplantation

The Abdominal Organ Transplant Program Fellowship at Keck School of Medicine of USC is an advanced surgical fellowship focused on liver, kidney and hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB) surgery. Fellows train within a multidisciplinary transplant team and gain experience in pre-transplant evaluation, transplant surgery and post-transplant care, including management of patients in a dedicated transplant intensive care setting. The program accepts four fellows over a two-year period.

1. Application: Applicants must follow the application instructions provided by the Abdominal Organ Transplant Program. USC states that application requirements may vary by individual fellowship program.
2. Application Review: Submitted applications are reviewed by the fellowship/program team.
3. Interview: Shortlisted candidates may be invited for an interview as part of the selection process.
4. Selection: Candidates are selected by the fellowship program based on their qualifications and suitability for advanced transplant surgery training.
5. Fellowship Appointment: Selected candidates complete the required USC/California licensing and other institutional requirements before beginning the fellowship.
