The Genitourinary Pathology Fellowship at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine is a one-year advanced training program that combines intensive clinical exposure with active research in diseases of the urinary tract and male reproductive system. Eligibility

  • Must hold an MD or DO degree (or equivalent international medical degree)
  • Completion of residency in Anatomic Pathology or AP/CP
  • Must be board-eligible or board-certified in Pathology
  • Eligible for medical licensure in Maryland (USA)
  • Strong interest in urologic/genitourinary pathology and research
  • International applicants require ECFMG certification and visa eligibility (if applicable)

Admission Process:

  1. Apply directly through the Johns Hopkins Pathology Fellowship application system (not ERAS for most pathology subspecialties)
  2. Submit required documents:

  • Letters of recommendation (2–3)
  1. Applications are reviewed based on academic background, pathology training, and research experience
  2. Shortlisted candidates are invited for interview (virtual/in-person)
  3. Final selection is made by the department/faculty committee
  4. Selected candidates must complete credentialing and obtain Maryland medical license before joining
