Fellowship Course in Nuclear Medicine

The Nuclear Medicine Fellowship at UCSF School of Medicine is a 12-month ACGME-accredited fellowship offered through the Molecular Imaging and Therapeutics Division of the Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging. The program provides advanced clinical training in nuclear medicine and molecular imaging, preparing fellows to develop expertise in the diagnosis and management of diseases using nuclear medicine techniques and radiopharmaceuticals. The fellowship is designed for physicians who have completed diagnostic radiology residency and provides focused training within UCSF’s multidisciplinary nuclear medicine environment.

1. Apply online through the UCSF Radiology Fellowship application portal. Paper or email applications are not accepted.
2. Submit a current CV.
3. Submit a personal statement describing career goals and plans.
4. Upload a digital headshot.
5. Submit USMLE/COMLEX scores or equivalent examination scores.
6. Submit 3 current letters of recommendation, including one from the current program director; up to 5 letters may be submitted.
7. Ensure that all application materials are complete; incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
8. Applicants are selected for interviews based on the strength of their completed application.
9. For Nuclear Medicine Fellowship specifically, the program does not participate in the NRMP Match.
10. Final appointment is subject to successful credentialing, California medical licensing, and employment/visa requirements.
