Overview
The Diagnostic Neuroradiology Fellowship at UC Irvine is a one-year ACGME-approved advanced training program designed to provide comprehensive expertise in imaging of the brain, spine, head, and neck; fellows spend the majority of the year (about 10 months) gaining intensive hands-on experience in interpreting complex neuroradiologic studies across a high-volume academic setting, while also completing dedicated rotations in Interventional Neuroradiology and Pediatric Neuroradiology (at Children’s Hospital of Orange County); the program emphasizes supervised learning under experienced faculty, exposure to a wide spectrum of neurological disorders, and development of strong diagnostic, clinical, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills essential for subspecialty practice in neuroradiology

Eligibility
- MD / DO degree or equivalent international medical qualification
- Completion of (or currently in final year of) an ACGME-accredited Diagnostic Radiology Residency
- Strong academic background and interest in neuroradiology (brain, spine, head & neck imaging)
- Submission of USMLE / COMLEX scores
- Letters of recommendation (typically 3, including Program Director/Chair)
- Updated Curriculum Vitae (CV) and supporting documents
- Eligibility for California medical licensure
- ECFMG certification required for international medical graduates
