In view of an imminent need for providing a public funded quality oral health care set up to impart dental education and open avenues for research in the field of Oral Health, a Dental Sciences Institute & Hospital was essential. Hence, under the aegis of Panjab University with philanthropic donations from Dr. Harvansh Singh Judge, was established Dr. Harvansh Singh Judge Institute of Dental Sciences & Hospital in April, 2006. The Institute aims at providing excellent oral health care facilities to the general public in addition to undergraduate training to students. Apart from its own Dental Hospital, a 100 bedded hospital for adequate training and teaching of dental students in clinical medical subjects is in active stage of construction, foundation stone of which was laid by Hon.ble Shri Shiv Raj Patilji on 14th November, 2008, then Union Minister of Home Affairs, Govt. of India.
