The Doctor of Physiotherapy (DPT) is a comprehensive professional degree designed to train specialists in movement science, rehabilitation, and allied health care for individuals across the lifespan. The curriculum integrates basic biomedical sciences (such as anatomy, physiology, pathology), clinical practice in physiotherapeutic techniques (manual therapy, electro-therapy, exercise therapy), supervised clinical placements in hospitals/clinics, and exposure to specialties such as musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiopulmonary, paediatric, geriatric and sports rehabilitation. Students gain skills in assessment, diagnosis, planning interventions, implementing and evaluating physiotherapy outcomes. The programme emphasises evidence-based practice, research skills, communication, patient-centred care and professional ethics. On completion, graduates are equipped to work in hospitals, rehabilitation centres, private clinics, sports teams, community health, and can pursue higher studies or academic roles.

1. Meet eligibility criteria (secondary school qualification, required marks).
2. Submit application to the institution offering the DPT programme.
3. Appear for the entrance/admission test (if required) by the university/institute.
4. Shortlisting of candidates based on merit (combination of academic marks + test performance).
5. Attend counselling/interview or document verification (if required).
6. Final admission offer issued, complete fee payment, enrolment and registration with the university/affiliation body.
7. Commencement of classes/orientation and beginning of first semester.
