Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D)

The Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) at PES University, Bangalore is a six-year integrated professional programme focused on clinical pharmacy and advanced pharmaceutical care. This doctoral course combines deep-dive classroom learning with immersive clinical experience to prepare graduates for contemporary pharmacy practice in hospitals, community settings, research organisations, and regulatory bodies. The curriculum emphasises pharmacotherapeutics, hospital pharmacy, clinical pharmacy, drug safety and monitoring, biostatistics, and clinical research. Students engage in case-based learning, collaborative patient care projects, and hands-on clinical rotations during their internship year, enhancing their ability to provide evidence-based pharmaceutical care. With its strong focus on patient-centric roles and real-world practice, the Pharm.D degree qualifies graduates to enter clinical roles such as clinical pharmacists, drug safety specialists, clinical research associates, and educators, and also makes them eligible for Ph.D.-level research.

1. Passed 10+2 or equivalent with PCB or PCM from a recognised board.
2. Must have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the year of admission (standard criterion).
3. D.Pharm holders may be eligible for lateral entry into Pharm.D Post-Baccalaureate (direct entry into Year 4) if available per PES University policy.
4. Selection is based on PES University entrance test / admissions process and meeting academic eligibility.
