Overview

    Pharm. D. is the art and science of preparing and dispensing medicines. Pharm D course focuses more in clinical pharmacy, pharmacy practice, pharmaceutical care as well as health care. Pharm.D course focuses only on pharmacy industry and research. The course includes regular pharmacy subjects and clinical pharmacy practices. This is why this course is called an ‘integrated course’. The program trains students in clinical pharmacy, pharmacy practice and pharmaceutical care. At the end of the course, students gain skills such as diagnosis and treatment of diseases, selection and therapeutic usage of drugs, monitoring of patients etc.

    The course is generally meant for students who have interest in learning of concepts related to clinical research and acquire an in-depth understanding of pharmacy practice concepts. This course includes an advanced study of the discipline’s components such as method validation, documentation, handling of raw materials and finished products, inspections that impact the development of pharmaceutical products.

Eligibility

    Candidate should have passed two-year P.U.C examination of Karnataka P.U.C board or an equivalent examination of any other approved Board or University with the cutoff percentage of 50 % or Candidates who have completed B.Sc. degree with Chemistry as one of the compulsory subjects in combination OR Candidates who have completed D.Pharm course from an institution approved by Pharmacy Council of India under section 12 of the Pharmacy Act

Admission Process:

    • Candidates should get the application form the college.
    • The admission process includes submission of original documents of marks cards, transfer certificate at the time of admission. Students who have scored low in the examination can get direct admission into the college under management quota admission. 
    • The fee structure for a seat through management quota admission is higher than admission through merit.
