Overview

    Every candidate pursuing M.D.(Hom) course is required to carry out work on a selected research project under the guidance of a recognized postgraduate teacher. The result of such work shall be submitted in the form of a dissertation. The dissertation is aimed to train a postgraduate student in research methods and techniques. It includes identification of the problem formulation of hypothesis, review of literature getting acquainted with recent advances, designing of a research study, collection of data, critical analysis and comparison of results and drawing conclusions. Four copies of dissertation thus prepared shall be submitted to the registrar (evaluation) six months before final examination on or before the dated notified by the university. A candidate pursuing M.D.(Hom) course shall study in the concerned department of the institute for the entire period as a full time student. Every student shall attend symposis, Seminars, conferences, journal review meetings and lecture during each year as prescribed by the department/college/university and not absent himself/herself without valid reasons. Every candidate shall maintain a work diary and record of his/her participation in the training programmes conducted by the department such as journal reviews, seminars etc. Candidate who has put, in minimum of 80% of attendance in the theory & practical assignments separately and shows satisfactory progress shall be permitted to appear for university examination.

Eligibility

    Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine & Surgery (BHMS) or equivalent qualification in Homoeopathy included in the Second Schedule to the Homoeopathy Central Council of Homoeopathy Act 1973, after undergoing a course of study of not less then five years and six months duration including one year compulsory internship.

    Admission is merit bases and it depends on the ranking in All India Ayurveda Post Graduation Entrance Test (AIAPGET).
