Diploma in Pharmacy (DPharm)

Overview

Diploma in Pharmacy is 2 year program in which a student learns about compounding and dispensing of dosage form.

This course is a minimum requirement for registering as a pharmacist in any Indian state for practicing pharmacy and to open a medical store.

This course enables a student to understand his/her role as patient counsellor and part of health care team.

The core learnings of this course are medicine manufacturing, posology (dose computation for patient), record keeping, accounting and understanding drug interactions.

Prospective:

• Registered Pharmacist with license can run a drug/medical Store.
• Job in Private/Government Hospitals/NGO/Community centres.

Eligibility

Applicant must have passed 12th (Physics, Chemistry and Maths / Biotechnology / Biology / Vocational Science) with 45% (General candidate) & 40% (for SC, ST & OBC candidate).
