Diploma in Pharmacy (DPharm)

Overview

D. Pharm or Diploma in Pharmacy is 2 year diploma programme. The student who has completed D.Pharm can be employed as Registered Pharmacist in Hospital and Community Pharmacies for dispensing drugs and pharmaceuticals. It has been made mandatory that at least one person employed in a pharmacy must be a qualified registered pharmacist. After completion of D.Pharm, one should complete the respective pharmacy council registration to become a registered pharmacist. D.Pharm. holder can go for a professional degree (under graduate) course of B. Pharm. directly in second year, through lateral entry scheme.

Eligibility

Candidate must Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with Mathematics / Biology, with at least 50% marks in the above subjects, taken together.
