Diploma in Pharmacy (DPharm)

• Candidate should have passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with Mathematics/Biology subject.
• Minimum of 80% attendance in theory and practical’s separately.

Diploma in Pharmacy is a two- year full time Programme which aims to train the students to play an important role in hospital pharmacy, community pharmacy and assist the pharma industry at various levels. The Programme is affiliated to Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi and designed as per the norms of PCI. It will enable students to practice pharmacy profession in a strong, skillful and determined manner.

Programme Objectives:

• The design of Programme will make the admitted candidate strong in the Foundational Knowledge of the pharmacy profession.
• Candidate will become sound in the various fields. It will develop the qualities like Patient-centered care (Caregiver), Problem Solver and Educator (Educator), Patient Encouragement (Advocate), Health and wellness Promoter, Population-based care (Provider), Inter-professional collaboration (Collaborator) and Communication (Communicator).
• Candidate will learn to communicate effectively, verbally and nonverbally when interacting with an individual, group, or organization. Self-consciousness (Self-aware) to Examine and reflect on personal knowledge, skills, abilities, beliefs, biases, motivation, and emotions that could enhance or limit personal and professional growth. Novelty and Free enterprise (Innovator) will be the most demanding and challenging quality which will get develops in candidate during completion of the course. By getting engaged in innovative activities using creative thinking to envision better ways of accomplishing professional goals can be achieved. Proficiency (Professional) will get inculcated to exhibit behaviors and values those are consistent with the trust given to the profession by patients, other healthcare providers and society.

• Can work in a Hospital as a Pharmacist (Govt / Private)
• Can work as a Community Pharmacist (Retail Pharmacy)
• Can become an Entrepreneur (Retail/ wholesale Pharmacy)
• Can Work as Chemist in QA/ QC/Production departments in Pharmaceutical Industry
• Can work as Marketing Executive in Pharmaceutical Industry
• Eligible for Direct Admission in B.Pharm 2nd Year.
