Diploma in Patient Care

Overview

Diploma in Patient Care Nursing  is a two-year diploma programme in the field of Nursing. after the successful completion of the 10+2 level of education . Interested candidates can apply for an DPC diploma after passing their class 12 exam with Science or Arts stream. The two-year course includes six months of compulsory internship.  DPC  diploma is the most basic diploma course which can be opted as a starting step towards making a career in the Nursing field. Graduates of DPC diploma can start their career by working with community health centers in urban or rural areas.

Eligibility

• The minimum age of the candidate should be 17 years on or before 31st December in the year in which admission is sought.
• The maximum age of the candidate should not exceed more than 35 years.
• The candidate should have passed  10+  12 examination having Arts or Commerce stream (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Economics, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Science, and Philosophy) and English Core/English Elective or Science or Health care Science – Vocational stream from a recognized Board.
• The candidate should be medically fit and might have to provide a certificate declaring the same
• Candidates who should have pass class 12 from the Arts or Science stream conducted by the National Institute of Open School are also eligible.
• The candidate should be admitted once a year.
