Diploma in Optometry

Overview

Diploma in Optometry is the diploma level course. It is a health care profession which includes examining the eyes and applicable visual systems for defects or abnormalities as well as the medical diagnosis and management of eye disease. The program involves eye and related structures, as well as vision, visual systems & vision information processing in humans.

The course provides study about the field of Contact Lens, Orthotics, Low Vision Aids, Sports Vision, Pediatric Optometry, Behavioral Optometry etc. It gives the knowledge of basic biomedical, behavioral and clinical sciences, especially as it relates to vision and the eye. Candidates will also do a research project.

Eligibility

Applicant should have passed 10+2 with science PCB OR PCM with a minimum percentage of 55%.
