The Diploma in Ophthalmic Technology at Akash Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Centre (AIMSRC) is designed to develop skilled ophthalmic technicians capable of supporting ophthalmologists in clinical, diagnostic, and surgical eye care services. Students receive extensive practical exposure in AIMSRC’s eye department, which handles OPD, cataract surgeries, vision testing, and other eye-related procedures. The curriculum focuses on refraction, slit-lamp examination, operation theatre support, contact lens fitting, and ophthalmic imaging techniques.
