Diploma in Operation Theatre Technology (DOTT)

Diploma in Operation Theatre Technology is a 2 year long Diploma level course. The study is a fundamental part of the operation unit working with surgeons, anaesthetists and theatre nurses to ensure every single procedure of safety and successful outcome of surgical process. Operating theatre is a provision within a hospital where surgical operations are carried out in an aseptic environment. It is based on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases and ailments through the use of clinical laboratory tests. It provides knowledge to handle advanced lab equipment’s and perform accurate laboratory tests. After successful completion in this diploma candidates looks after all the work and management of the operation theatre which involves managing the patients in and out of operation theatre, looking after all the surgical instruments involving their arranging operation table, instrument table, sterilization, dressing table, anaesthesia table and management of the operation theatre staff.
