    Diploma in Operation Theatre & Anesthesia Technology : The program is conducted to meet the continuous growing needs for experts in the field of operation management and anesthesia technology. The operation theatre and anesthesia technologists are responsible for direct and indirect patient care, setting up of equipment and operation procedures.

    They assist surgeons during the procedures and are responsible for completing other assigned functions. The students of Diploma in Operation Theatre & Anesthesia Technology are trained on both theoretical and practical aspects on operation theatre and anesthesia thereby assisting surgeons during operation and other procedures. Besides, assisting surgeons, the program also teaches on how to look after surgical instruments and their sterilization and safety. Thus the aim of Diploma in Operation Theatre & Anesthesia Technology course is to create proficient technicians for both operation theatres and anesthesia. 

    Diploma in Operation Theatre & Anesthesia Technology is of three-year duration encompassing theory and practical's as well as study of subjects like Applied Anatomy and Physiology, Medical Ethics, Intensive care, Clinical Microbiology, Pharmacology, CSSD techniques and Anesthetic techniques. The Diploma in Operation Theatre & Anaesthesia Technology also has guest lectures, seminars from eminent doctors and healthcare leaders, to help students understand the insights and criticality of operation theatre and anesthesia techniques.

    The students have flexibility in choice of courses and can choose courses from other disciplines as well, but with prior approval. Graduates from the program are required across all hospitals that conduct surgeries. The course is currently offered at both diploma and degree levels. Depending on the need of the students, they can choose either modes of the program, however requirements varies for both the levels.

    After completion of the course they can go for higher education regular as well as in distance education like B Sc in MLT, Cardiology, Anesthesiology, Perfusion Technology, Cathlab, CBZ, Chemistry & etc. and further they can also go for Food Inspector Job Exams.

Eligibility

    Applicant must have Pass in SSLC / 10th std. or Equivalent Examination or II PUC / 12th Std. Under Science such as PCB, PCMB, CBZ or any other equivalent qualifications.
