Diploma in Obstetric and Gynecology (DGO)

1. MBBS degree from an NMC-recognised institution.
2. Completion of 1-year compulsory rotatory internship.
3. Valid NEET-PG score as per admission cutoff.
4. State Medical Council/NMC registration.

The Diploma in Gynecology & Obstetrics (D.G.O.) prepares medical graduates to manage women’s health issues through a blend of theoretical learning and practical clinical training. The program covers antenatal, intrapartum, postpartum care, emergency obstetric management, and common gynecological problems. Students receive hands-on experience in labor wards, obstetric theaters, family planning clinics, ultrasound units, and gynecology outpatient departments. The curriculum includes seminars, case discussions, journal clubs, and supervised clinical duties. The training builds strong foundational skills required for community-level obstetric services, maternal healthcare programs, and gynecological practice.

2. Appear for NEET-PG and obtain a qualifying score.
3. Participate in All India / State counseling.
4. Select D.G.O. based on rank and available seats.
5. Submit the required documents for verification.
6. Report to the allotted institution and pay fees.
7. Join the residency program as per the schedule.
