Overview

The Diploma in Medical Record Technology (DMRT) is a two-year paramedical program designed to train students in the comprehensive management of healthcare documentation and information systems. It equips learners with skills in coding, indexing, hospital information systems (HIS), medical terminology, legal and ethical compliance, and record analysis. Across different institutions, the curriculum typically blends classroom instruction with hands-on training in hospital or institutional record departments. Graduates are ready to take on roles such as Medical Record Technicians, Health Information Managers, Medical Billing Specialists, or pursue advanced studies in health informatics and allied fields 

Eligibility

Academic: 10+2 pass (Science preferred); some accept other streams

Age: At RGCI, candidates must be between 17–25 years as of July 1 (with category-based relaxations)
