Diploma in CT Scan Technician

Overview

This program aims at providing comprehensive knowledge about various versatile imaging techniques. After going through this programme, the student should be able to:

• A CT scan technologist must be able to accurately interpret a physician's scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, prepare and operate the CT scan equipment, and position the patient to capture the appropriate images.

Knowledge and Skills :

1. Using computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients’ internal organs and tissues.
2. Appropriately positioning patients to scan specific areas of their bodies.
3. Performing regular warm-up sequences on the CT scanner to prolong the life of the X-ray tubes
4. Radiation Exposure & Quality Control
5. Patient Safety & Emergency Codes
6. Knowledge of Medical Law & Ethics
7. Advanced Computer Skills
8. Patient Handling for Radio Diagnostic Procedures
9. Medical Records Management

Eligibility

Applicant should have done Minimum 10+2 or equivalent with science subject with minimum 45% marks.

Minimum Education
