Diploma in Cardiac Cath Lab Assistant

Overview

A catheterization laboratory or cath lab technician is trained to assist interventional cardiologists in performing diagnostic and therapeutic minimally invasive cardiac procedures using cardiac and coronary imaging. Students will be trained to assist doctors during procedures including coronary imaging, IVUS, FFR, etc., percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), rotational atheroctomy, peripheral angiography, and interventions for structural heart disease. Students will also be able to interpret basic ECGs and identify cardiac arrhythmias.

Eligibility

Candidate should have pass 12th std. examination in any stream from recognised board.
