Diploma in Anesthesia Technology

Overview

An Anaesthesia Technology diploma prepares students to support anesthesiologists in surgical and critical care settings. Over one to two years, the program covers theoretical subjects like anatomy, physiology, basics of anesthesia, ICU management, and hands-on practical training in patient monitoring and anesthesia equipment usage. Graduates emerge ready to assist in operating rooms, critical care units, and emergency response setups. While the diploma offers quicker entry into the workforce, pursuing a B.Sc. in Anaesthesia & Operation Theatre Technology (3–4 years) may provide more in-depth training and broader career scope. 

Eligibility

Academic: Passed 10+2 (Science stream) with PCB, minimum 50% marks (45% for reserved categories)

Fitness: Generally requires a medical fitness certificate.

Others: May need identification proof, photographs, and residency/other documents depending on institution.
