The Government Paramedical Institute at Sheikh Bhikhari Medical College started in the 2023-24 academic session with permission from the Jharkhand Paramedical Council. The institute offers 5 seats for the Diploma in Anaesthesia Technician. Over the two-year program, students are trained in anaesthesia practices, patient monitoring, pharmacology of anaesthetic drugs, and operating theatre procedures. The curriculum combines classroom teaching, practical training, and hands-on exposure in a hospital environment. Graduates of this diploma are eligible to support anaesthesiologists in surgical settings such as hospitals, clinics, and outpatient surgery centres. Since the institute is part of a medical college, students benefit from access to a teaching hospital, giving them real-world clinical exposure.

1. Register for JCECEB paramedical counselling when the application window opens.
2. During counselling, select the “Anaesthesia Technician” course under the Government Paramedical Institute, Sheikh Bhikhari Medical College.
3. Seats (5) are allotted based on merit, category, and availability.
4. After allotment, report to the institute with the necessary documents: 10+2 mark sheet, ID proof, JCECEB allotment letter, etc.
5. Pay the course fees as per the fee structure in the institute’s fee document.
