Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program

1. Must complete 1 year of accredited clinical training in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Surgery or surgical specialties, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Neurology, Family Practice, Emergency Medicine, or Transitional Year.
2. This clinical year should normally be the first postgraduate year.
3. No more than 3 months may be spent in Radiology, Radiation Oncology, or Pathology.
4. All clinical training must be from an approved program.
5. International Medical Graduates must meet California medical licensure eligibility requirements and provide an Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates Status Report.
6. UCLA currently accepts J-1 clinical visas and F-1 visas; H-1 visas are accepted only for applicants who graduated from a United States medical school.

The Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) provides comprehensive training in diagnostic imaging across five major teaching hospitals. UCLA is a public academic institution focused on medical education, healthcare, research, and innovation. Residents receive training in abdominal imaging, breast imaging, musculoskeletal radiology, thoracic imaging, neuroradiology, pediatric radiology, ultrasonography, nuclear medicine, vascular and interventional radiology, and cardiovascular imaging. Training in Computed Tomography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging is integrated throughout the curriculum, with opportunities for research and scholarly activities under faculty supervision.
