Coimbatore Medical College was established in year 1966, located at Peelamedu in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu state. Since its start in the year 1966, the college has emerged as the premier institution in the state to provide an accessible, affordable, high quality, comprehensive health and development system that meets the needs of the people of Coimbatore and its neighbouring districts. Over the years, the college has stood the test of time and is progressing steadily by offering various undergraduate, post graduate super-specialty and paramedical courses that serves the poor, needy and meritorious students. It is governed by Department of Medical Education, Government of Tamilnadu. It has recognized for MBBS, MD, MS, DM, MCh courses under National Medical Commission (NMC), New Delhi. The courses are affiliated with the Tamilnadu Dr MGR Medical University.
