Cochin Implant Institute, an affiliate study club of ICOI, marked its origin in 2011. The idea of a study club for Implantology was born in the heart of Dr. Jaibin George (Founder and Director, CII.), in order to eradicate fear of implant failure among dentists, and as an adjuvant to the implant education available. Lack of proper guidance in the field, and the unawareness of the reasons for implant failure were the core-factors for the wide-spread fear in the field.
