The first private Pharmacy College in Tamil Nadu was started in the year 1980 by Tamil Nadu Chemists & Druggists Association, forming a Trust in the name of Tamil Nadu Chemists & Druggists Educational Trust registered on 07/03/1980. The College was named as C.L.Baid Metha College of Pharmacy, Approved by PCI - Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi and affiliated to The Tamilnadu Dr.M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai.
