Overview
- A Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) program is for health professionals who want to possess comprehensive knowledge of and experience in prediabetes, diabetes prevention, and management.
- CDE is an integral part of the diabetes management team.
- The CDE role promotes self-management to achieve individualized behavioral and treatment goals that optimize health outcomes.
- English shall be the medium of instruction for all the subjects of study and for examination of the course.
- A candidate has to secure a minimum of 80% attendance in overall with at least 75% attendance in theoretical and 90% in Skills training (practical) for qualifying to appear for the final examination.
