Overview

This certificate programme is designed to train individuals—especially women—to provide essential support during pregnancy, delivery, and the postpartum period. It covers maternal counselling, labor support, breastfeeding guidance, newborn care, postnatal nutrition, and emotional well-being. The weekend format (Saturday, 8 hours per session) combines classroom lectures with practical skills using simulation manikins. Graduates are prepared for roles in maternity homes, community health programmes, home care support, and hospital settings, helping reduce anxiety, unnecessary medical interventions, and improving maternal‑infant outcomes. 

Eligibility

Passed 10th grade or equivalent

Must be 18 years or older at time of admission
