Certificate Diploma Program in Respiratory & Sleep Medicine Technology

Applicant should have passed 12th std. with any of the stream.

Respiratory & sleep medicine technicians are the personnel who work in the field of pulmonology. They perform and interpret sleep study as per direction & guidance of pulmonologist; they also take part in nebulization therapy and other respiratory therapeutic procedures
On successful completion of the course, the student will be competent to:

• Sleep physiology, respiratory physiology, cardiac physiology, classification of sleep disorders, common sleep complaints and symptoms of common sleep disorders
• Polysomnography instrumentation, performing polysomnography (preparation and set up, recording and monitoring), scoring rules for sleep stages, EEG waveform morphology, arousals, artifacts, arrhythmias, respiratory events, sleep apneas and diagnostic criteria, practice parameters for sleep apnea, adult testing procedures for sleep apnea, intervention/ treatment / CPAP therapy.
