Applicant should have passed 12th std. with any of the stream.

Operation Theatre Technology syllabus and subjects introduce students to operation theatres' technical and operational aspects in a medical setting. There are core and elective subjects in the course that students get a chance to study. The core subjects are essential for the learning and, therefore, compulsory for the students. Additionally, there are practical lab workshops for the students in the course, which help them use their knowledge in the classroom in a practical setting.
On successful completion of the course, the student will be competent to:

• This course is designed to provide comprehensive theoretical and practical knowledge required to prepare OT before surgery including process of sterilization.
• Assist surgeons to perform common surgeries.
• Perform basic nursing procedures like IV/IM/SC injections, nebulization, catheterization, oxygen therapy.
• Trained in advance airway management, surgical airways, ACLS, BLS and ATLS
• To take care of post-operative patients.
• To maintain surgery records
• Provide psychological support to patient and his relatives
