Overview

While quality is a common denominator and benchmark across products and services it acquires a new dimension and criticality in health care delivery in view of its direct impact on human lives and well being. Health care providers need to constantly measure their standards in terms of internal processes and service quality to ensure that the quality of health care delivery remains right on top and is not compromised in any way.

Maintaining high standards in healthcare delivery is not only an ethical commitment but also a hard marketplace reality, patients and their families today are far more aware of their rights, privileges, availability of healthcare solutions, costing and so on than in the past and demand value for their money.

Healthcare is increasingly viewed as a service like any other and comparative evaluation is the order of the day. The Certificate Program in Healthcare Quality Management combines the theoretic and practical aspects of quality at every level of healthcare delivery and personnel involved.

The Program is jointly conducted by The Sankara Nethralaya Academy, an academic wing of Sankara Nethralaya and CAHO- Consortium of Accredited Healthcare Organization names that are synonymous across the country with high quality services. CAHO is a not-for-profit organization created to fulfill the need for a common platform for facilitating communication amongst the accredited HCO’s, share best practices, and provide benchmarking, while promoting and continuously improving the quality and safety of the healthcare services provided by the HCO’s across India, in collaboration with all stakeholders.

All participants successfully completing the course in terms of assignment submission ,clearing the examinations, practical and complying with the minimum required attendance would receive the joint certification by the CAHO and TSNA at the end of the program.

80% Attendance Required for the course completion.

Eligibility

This course is open to healthcare professionals with a bachelor’s degree; work experience in a hospital / healthcare sector is preferred for this unique Program.

Students can also join provided they are from healthcare disciplines like MBBS, BHMS, BAMS, BUMS, BDS, MHA, MBA-Hospital Management and similar.
