The Cardiothoracic Surgery Residency Program provides comprehensive training in the surgical management of diseases of the heart, lungs, esophagus, and other structures within the chest. Residents gain hands-on experience in adult cardiac surgery, thoracic surgery, congenital heart surgery, heart and lung transplantation, cardiothoracic intensive care, and minimally invasive and transcatheter procedures. The program also includes structured teaching, simulation and laboratory training, research opportunities, and exposure to complex cardiothoracic cases.
