The hospital was founded on 23rd May 1976 by His Excellency Late Sri Mohanlal Sukhadia, the then Governor of Andhra Pradesh in the august presence of His Excellency late Sri Uma Shankar Dixit, the then Governor of Karnataka. The Hospital was inaugurated on 9th April 1990 by Sri Veerendra Patil, the then Honourable Chief Minister of Karnataka.
