Bhagat Phool Singh Government Medical College (BPSGMC), Khanpur Kalan, Sonepat

BPS Govt. Medical College for Women, Khanpur Kalan is the second Government Medical College for girls in the country after a gap of almost 100 years as the Lady Harding Medical College was established in 1914. This is a matter of great pride as it is the first medical college for girls’ medical education after independence, which is a milestone in the history of the country. The foundation stone of the Institute was laid down by the Hon’ble Chairperson of UPA Smt. Sonia Gandhi on 1st March 2009. The Institute was started on a trial basis by Hon’ble Health Minister Rao Narender Singh on 1st September 2011 with 100 beds, open for the public with a team of 21 dedicated faculty members. The strength of the beds as well as Doctors grew at a very fast rate and today we have 450 beds for admission, state of art intensive areas with ventilators, Modular Operation Theaters and world Class labor rooms.
