The Banasthali Vidyapith is a university located in the Tonk district of the Rajasthan state in India. It is a deemed university recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC). It is a fully residential women's higher education institute which offers an integrated system extending from the primary to the Ph.D level. It is offering programs at the secondary, senior secondary, undergraduate, and postgraduate degree levels. It aims at the synthesis of spiritual values and scientific achievements of both the East and the West.

History

It was on October 6, 1935 that Smt. Ratan Shastri and Pandit Hiralal Shastri founded Banasthali to fill up the vacuum caused by the sudden death of their highly talented and promising daughter Shantabai.
