Medical laboratory technology is a program coordinated in such a way that this branch of medical science brings up huge potential for students in health care industry. Medical Laboratory Technicians are responsible for performing laboratory investigations related to diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease. Medical Technologists are an integral part of the healthcare profession. At GIHS, students opting B.Voc Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology learn to work with complex systems and perform highly technical, mechanical or diagnostic tests to detect the presence or absence of certain microorganisms in a patient's sample. They collect samples, study and perform tests on body fluids, teeth, chemical compounds, and other biological specimens.
