Bachelor of Science (Medical Science)

The B.Sc (Hons) in Medical Science at PES University is a forward-looking undergraduate program designed for students passionate about health sciences, biomedical research, and allied healthcare roles. The curriculum is structured over three years of academic study followed by a one-year internship that provides practical exposure in chosen specialties. Students gain foundational knowledge in human anatomy, physiology, pathology, microbiology, biochemistry, pharmacology, public health, and modern medical research techniques, along with modules on digital health technologies like AI, robotics, and clinical intelligence. The program cultivates research aptitude, analytical thinking, and soft skills necessary for collaboration within healthcare teams. Practical training occurs through workshops, lab sessions, case-based learning, and hands-on experience in partner hospitals, biotechnology centres, and clinical environments, preparing graduates for careers in healthcare assistance, research support, health insurance, laboratories, and public health programmes. It also equips students with skills for postgraduate study in medical sciences, biotechnology, genetics, public health, or management.

1. Passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry & Biology from a recognised board.
2. Minimum aggregate marks of ~50% in PCB (may vary by admission year).
3. English proficiency as per university norms.
4. Selection/shortlisting through PES Entrance Test or merit evaluation per PES University admissions policy.
