Overview

    1. ACCF Barpeta Nursing College is a nursing education institution established by the Assam Cancer Care Foundation (a joint initiative of the Government of Assam and Tata Trusts) located on the 6th Floor of Barpeta Cancer Centre. It was inaugurated to meet the growing demand for qualified nurses, particularly in oncology and comprehensive care settings, and to strengthen healthcare workforce capacity in Assam.
    2. The B.Sc Nursing program is designed to equip students with theoretical knowledge, clinical skills, and professional competencies necessary for patient care across hospitals, community health settings, and specialized care units. Hands-on training is typically integrated through clinical exposure at affiliated hospitals such as Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College & Hospital (FAAMCH) and ACCF facilities.
    3. The curriculum includes fundamental nursing sciences, patient care techniques, health promotion, disease prevention, and practical nursing procedures. Emphasis is placed on ethical standards, critical thinking, leadership, and communication — preparing graduates for roles as staff nurses, community health nurses, or continuing advanced studies.
