Government Medical College, Anantnag (GMC Anantnag) was established in 2018 with the aim of providing quality medical education and healthcare services to South Kashmir & Pir Panjal region. The B.Sc Nursing course is one of its paramedical degree programs, introduced after securing “No Objection Certificate” from Kashmir University and approval through the Jammu & Kashmir Paramedical Council. With an intake capacity of 30 seats, this course runs under the regulation of the University of Kashmir and meets standards prescribed by the relevant nursing regulatory bodies. The curriculum spans 4 years, combining theoretical instruction, practical clinical work in associated hospitals, and community health training. Students are prepared for roles as registered nurses upon successful completion. The college’s facilities include associated hospitals (MMABM District Hospital, Maternity & Child Care Hospital etc.), which support training and practical exposure.
