Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSc Nursing)

BSc. nursing is also known as Bachelor of Nursing or Bachelor of science in nursing. This course offers several excellent opportunities for the students. The program encompasses foundational, core and elective course to prepare nurses to provide safe and competent care to patients across the country and also globally. Undoubtedly each student has an innumerable job opportunity after completion of B. Sc nursing courses.

Objectives:

• Practice within the framework of code of ethics and professional conduct work at any health care delivery system independently.
• To work as decision maker in community health care services.
• Practice within legal boundaries.
• Utilize the advance technologies in critical care settings.
• To develop skill in critical care settings and to make decision.

1. (a) Candidate with Science who have passed the qualifying 12 th standard examination (10+2) and must have obtained a minimum of 45 percent marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology taken together and passed in English individually and vernacular with aggregate of 45 %/. (40 % in case of reserved category) from recognized Board under HSCE or other equivalent Board.
   (b) Candidates are also eligible from State open school recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School (NICS ) recognized by Central Government having Science subjects and English only.
   (c) English is a compulsory subject in 10 +2 for being eligible for admission to B. Sc Nursing.
2. Desirable Rank in JENPAS Examination.
3. Nationality : Should be Indian and resident of West Bengal.
4. The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years in 31 st December of the year .The maximum age limit for admission shall be 35 years. Only female candidate would be eligible for the post.
