Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSc Nursing)

• A pass in 10+2 / H.Sc or its equivalent Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany & Zoology) and English individually and must have obtained a minimum aggregate marks of 45% in case of SC / ST category 40% marks.
• Candidate shall complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission.

A Bachelor Degree in Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing) is a four-year course where the candidate is given the opportunity to learn and feel the beginning, the growth and the end of life .The aim of the undergraduate nursing program is to prepare graduates to assume responsibilities as professional, competent nurses and midwives in providing promotive, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative services and to prepare nurses who can make independent decisions in nursing situations, protect the rights of and facilitate individuals and groups in pursuit of health, function in the hospital. Community nursing services, and conduct research studies in the areas of nursing practice. They are also expected to assume the role of teacher, supervisor, and manager in a clinical/public health setting.

This course offers basic knowledge biological and psycho social subjects in terms of structure, functions, disorders and solutions for the conditions and finally application of nursing care which may be replaced by any technologies. Therefore, earning a Bachelor Degree in Nursing is a career that is challenging, interesting and makes a difference in people’s lives on a daily basis. A candidate who completes bachelor’s degree in nursing has wider opportunities to work abroad, since nurses are high in demand.

Admissions for UG Programme will be made on the basis of the marks secured by the candidates in the All India Common Entrance Examination conducted by VMRF(DU) and the eligibility criteria prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi and VMRF-DU rules & regulations from time to time.
