Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSc Nursing)

• Candidates belonging to all categories for admission to the Basic B.sc. Degree Course in Nursing should have passed the qualifying examinations after a period of 12 years of study with the following subjects. English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology candidate should obtain individual pass in each subject with less than 45% and the aggregate of 50% which is mandatory.
• Candidates should have passed in all the subjects in one and the same attempt and the improvement marks will not be considered for admission.

It is a non-semester,4 years Degree Programme. The course of the study and scheme of the examination will be followed as prescribed by the TN Dr.MGR Medical University. The students will be trained clinically in Ultra Modern Hospital to gain rich experience. In addition the students will be trained in various other Government /Private Medical Institutions and Community Health Centers as per the course requirement. It is a must to have 100% attendance in each year in both theory and practical before proceeding for the examinations. Those students who miss any part of the clinical postings for reason other than availing sick leave will be reposted in the same specialty. The medium of the instruction of the course is English.

• The selection of candidates will be based on the marks obtained in H.S.C., and performance in the interview. All the candidates selected to pursue the Nursing course shall submit the original certificates at the time of admission and that will be returned only after the completion of course. All the eligible candidates will be admitted subject to the regulations of the Tamil Nadu Dr.MGR Medical University and that of Indian Nursing Council.
