Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Respiratory Therapy

Overview

B.Sc. Respiratory Therapy is a four-year UG program integrating theoretical knowledge with clinical training in areas such as mechanical ventilation, pulmonary diagnostics, and emergency respiratory care. Students receive hands-on experience in ICU, PFT labs, sleep labs, and wards under supervision. The program aims to produce skilled respiratory therapists capable of managing acute and chronic respiratory conditions and supporting care teams in hospitals and rehabilitation settings 

Eligibility

• Education 10+2 or equivalent (HSC/Intermediate) from a recognized board
• Subjects Required Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) and English
• Minimum Aggregate Marks: Usually 50%–60% in PCB (some institutes accept 45% for reserved categories)
• Age Limit Minimum 17 years (some institutes may have upper age limit ~30 years)
• Additional Requirements Some institutes may require medical fitness certificate or entrance/interview
