Overview

The B.Sc – Radiology and Imaging Technology degree is designed to prepare students for careers as skilled allied health professionals in diagnostic medical imaging. The curriculum blends classroom theory with hands‑on clinical training, enabling students to become proficient in operating advanced imaging systems such as X‑rays, CT scanners, MRI machines, and ultrasound devices. Throughout the program, students learn anatomy, radiation physics, patient positioning, radiation safety, imaging procedures, and quality management. Clinical internships in hospitals or diagnostic centers enhance practical skills and professional readiness. Graduates are eligible to work in healthcare settings, diagnostic labs, imaging centers, and healthcare technology firms, supporting physicians in accurate diagnosis and patient care. The degree also lays groundwork for higher studies such as M.Sc in Medical Imaging or related specializations.

Eligibility

1. Passed 10+2 / Higher Secondary from a recognised board.
2. Mandatory subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) and English.
3. Minimum aggregate: ~45–50% in PCB (criteria can vary by university).
4. Age: typically 17 years or above by 31 Dec of admission year.
