Overview

1. The B.Sc. MIT program at BGS Vijnatham Institute of Allied Health Sciences, situated within the BGS Medical College & Hospital campus, Bengaluru, is designed to develop competent imaging technologists capable of supporting modern diagnostic radiology departments. Students gain extensive hands-on experience with X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, and other imaging modalities under supervision of experienced radiologists and technologists.
2. The curriculum integrates theoretical principles of imaging, radiation safety, patient care, image processing, and quality assurance protocols. Students are trained in operating advanced imaging equipment, interpreting basic imaging results, and ensuring compliance with clinical and safety standards. With access to the institute’s teaching hospital, students participate in real clinical cases, preparing them for careers in hospitals, diagnostic centers, research labs, and community healthcare imaging services.

Eligibility

1. 10+2 (Science) with Physics, Chemistry & Biology / Mathematics
2. Minimum 45–50% aggregate (as per institute guidelines)
3. Minimum age: 17 years at the time of admission
4. Must be medically fit
5. Foreign students require equivalent qualification approved by ACU
