Cardiac Technologists assist cardiologists in diagnosing and treating heart problems and ailments. The areas in which training is provided include ECG, Echo, 24-hour ambulatory ECG monitoring (Holter), 24 hour blood pressure monitoring (Ambulatory BP), treadmill, cardiac catheterization laboratory and electro physiology. Cardiac technologists assist in cardiac catheterizations (Angiogram including balloon angioplasties) and pacemakers. Cardiac technologists are part of the healthcare team in diagnosing and treating cardio vascular diseases.

- The lateral entry is applicable for all the UG Degree Course of Allied Health Science wherever corresponding Diploma Course is available in the concerned specialty. The duration of one year Internship applicable for all the Lateral Entry Candidates.
- Candidates belongs to all categories for admission to the Allied Health Sciences should have passed the qualifying examination after period of 12years of study with English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Botany and Zoology with minimum 35% marks in each subjects (Academic/Vocational Stream).
