Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biotechnology

Applicant must Pass in 10+2 (PCB/PCM) examination. Minimum 55% aggregate marks for general category and 45% aggregate marks in case of SC/ST category.

B.Sc. Biotechnology is a 3–4-year program (As per new education Policy-2020) with an enriched curriculum comprising of basic courses (cell biology, biochemistry, animal and plant physiology, developmental biology) and applied courses (plant and animal biotechnology, bioinformatics, bioprocess technology and others). Specific courses target skill development, employability, and entrepreneurship potential of biotechnology.

Biotechnology is futuristic science which merges technology for and to life. Life, refer to organisms from highly evolved human to microorganisms. Technology use to animal, plant, and microbial species for their improvement (qualitative as well as quantitative) along with development of process and products w.r.t health, environment, agriculture, industry, etc. is the hour’s need. In recent past biotechnology has been identified as a prominent field of life Sciences owing to its interdisciplinary approach and widespread applications.
