Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Cardiac Care Technology

• Candidates need to have qualified two year Pre-University (10+2) examination with PASS percentage and studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as principle subjects from a recognized educational Board.
• The vocational higher secondary education course conducted by vocational higher secondary education, Govt. of Kerala with five subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English in addition to vocational subjects conducted is considered equivalent to plus TWO examinations of Govt. of Karnataka Pre University Course.
• Eligibility for admission is as per RGUHS norms as amended from time to time.

These technicians are trained to perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures relating to pulmonary and cardio vascular systems. They are trained in variety of tests including Ultra sound and Cardiac catheterization to determine health or illness in patient’s heart, lungs and related systems. They are responsible for ensuring patient safety and comfort during procedures. Students are trained to administer localized anesthesia, and also Monitoring of patients and equipment’s.

Duration:- 3 ½ years including 6 months of internship.
