Bachelor of Prosthetics and Orthotics (BPO)

Overview

The BPO program at PDUNIPPD is a full-time, 4½-year undergraduate degree affiliated with the University of Delhi. It is designed to create proficient prosthetics and orthotics professionals adept in both patient care and technical fabrication. Students receive hands-on training in designing and crafting assistive devices—such as artificial limbs, splints, and orthotic supports—within well-equipped workshops, learning to rehabilitate individuals with conditions like post-polio paralysis, amputations, and other orthopedic impairments. The program emphasizes evidence-based practice, ethical service delivery, and adaptability to technological and patient needs. 

Eligibility

Passed 10+2 with PCBE or PCME with minimum 50% aggregate (45% for reserved categories)

Age: at least 17 years by October 1 of the admission year; maximum age 23 (General), 28 (SC/ST/PH)
